as doves retreat.

I found my brother carve
cupids out of stone
his smile stretched between each ear
he'd met this girl in the cloisters
under his sign
cupids for sale.

They'll fly the course
when they return
to the bay with it's back to the ocean
invincible love
by sound waves
thy will be done.

They spent two weeks talking about treasures hidden deep
with kings while drinking in the ruins
as Martyr's Bay ran dry and doves blanket the sky
like christening gowns.

They nearly conquered the lovers maze
but falling
foreign walls hit views and happy days
sorry she let you crawl
she'd found her way.

They'll fly the course
when they return
